AMAZON CRUISE 3 Days / 2 Nights

INTRODUCTION

The Amazon River is the longest and largest river in the world. It contains much more water than in the Nile, Yangtze and the Mississippi together, and represents about one fifth of the current fresh water on the planet.

Day 1.- Meeting of the waters -Lake Januaca

Breakfast. Departure Hotel at  14:00 h. Presentation meeting. Navigating to the meeting of the waters, where the rivers Negro and Solimões come together and form the river Amazon. Continues navigating the region of the Islands Xiborena and Careiro to curare and out canoe to observe the cultivated fertile plains of (textile fibres grass, pastures for cattle, products horti-fruit farmers, tree plantations from which is extracted the rubber, as well as native forests of the Valley and lakes where you can see the flowers type giant water hyacinths calls (vitorias-regias). The return of this excursion is made after the sunset, to watch the night life, including alligators. The night navigation up to the Janauaca Lake for the night.

DAY 2.- Lake Juanaca - River Solimoes

Departure at the canoe to appreciate the sunrise and observe birds at the Lake of Janauaca. There are many possibilities to see a bird species prehistoric call (Hoatzin) as well as large colonies of herons and mergulhoes. Back to the boat for breakfast. Then follows visiting Lake coastal dwellers, living on manioc cultivation, fishing, various fruits, rubber, chestnuts, wood and other products from renewable resources. Walk in the jungle with the Guide explanations. Return to the ship for lunch and navigation down to the Lake the river Solimoes. In the afternoon, after a short break after lunch left for fishing piranhas (with possibility to catch other fish species also) and returning at the end of the afternoon. Short break until dinner. Night out in canoes to observe nocturnal animals such as the "bacuraus", cobras, ratos-toro, toads and alligators. Back to the boat and sailing down the rio Solimões to Lake Janauari, next to the meeting of the waters.

Day 3.- Ecological Park January -Rio Negro

Departure at dawn to observe birds in Janauari ecological park and in the streams of the surrounding area. Return to the boat for breakfast and sail up along the Black River to the Hotel Tropical, passing in front of the city of Manaus. Opportunity to learn the palafitos (wooden houses built on stakes in the banks of the Lakes), the Municipal market, the Customs and the floating Harbour. Arrival at 11:30 h at the pier of the Hotel.End of our services.
